Yesterday was a dream come true! My own book, published! I am so grateful to all the people who have helped make this come true. I read the book again last night, not as its author but as a reader. I realised it’s no longer ‘my’ book, that secret thing I work on, changing a sentence here, a comma there, living with it for so long. It’s out in the world and belongs to readers as much as me. It’s a strange process, one I’m so happy to have experienced, but it’s not without fear and a tiny snag of loss! I hope it touches hearts because it contains a lot of mine. And now I need to get on and finish the next book!
