About
Alison Woodhouse is a writer, teacher and mentor based near Bath, England.
I am a teacher who has moved into adult education, teaching writing courses at City Lit, London. I also work privately with writers, offering critiques and mentoring. I'm delighted to be one of the trio who run the Bath Short Story Award and have judged several other competitions. Many years ago I used to write reviews for the TLS, New Statesman and Literary Review and I've always been fascinated by taking apart a book or story and figuring out how it works!
In 2019 I was awarded a distinction on my MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa. In October 2020 Ad Hoc Fiction published my Novella in Flash The House on the Corner and in September 2021 V Press published my flash fiction collection Family Frames.
